Edith "Edie" Evelyn Horrigan

Edith "Edie" Evelyn Horrigan (Franklin), 76, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at BridgingLife Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born on November 27, 1947, in Taylorsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late William H. Franklin and Gertrude Smith Franklin.  She was the beloved wife of 50 years to Jamie Horrigan.

Edie worked as a supervisor for Random House and was a member of the alumni. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, gardening and tending to her flowers.

Surviving her in addition to her husband is son: Chris Horrigan and wife Anna of Parkton, MD, grandson: Markello Horrigan, and siblings: Luther Franklin of Hampstead, MD, and Genevieve Hymiller of Westminster, MD.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Edie was predeceased by 7 siblings.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 29, from 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102.
