Edna Barbara Jones

Edna Barbara Jones, 92, of Glen Burnie, MD, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Triumph Home Care in Glen Burnie.  Born on June 20, 1931, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George Thomas Neighoff and Thelma Scheufele Neighoff.  She was the beloved wife of the late Russel Clayton Jones, who passed away in 1995.

Years ago, Edna worked as a nursing assistant in home health care.  When she was younger, she enjoyed crafting and she was very active in the Glen Burnie Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving her is a son: Daniel C. Jones and his wife Carmen of Austin, TX, grandchildren: Jeremiah Jones, Alex Jones and his wife Rebecca, Cassandra Louden and her husband Tim, and siblings: Ruth Classon of Baltimore, MD, and Larry Neighoff of Reisterstown, MD.  She is also survived by "tons" of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Edna was predeceased by her daughter: Linda Sue Barrett, and siblings: Irvin Neighoff, Sr., Kenneth Neighoff, and Theresa Jarmer.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 26, from 9:30 am – 11:30 am at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 am.

Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
