Edward “Pye” Benton Haines

Edward "Pye" Benton Haines, 86, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born on January 16, 1935, in Curtis Bay, MD, he was the son of the late William Basher and Frances Haines. He was the beloved husband of Geraldine Rita Spindler Haines.

Years ago, Pye worked for the Maryland Transit Authority. He loved sports and watching the Ravens and Orioles games. Pye enjoyed traveling, especially to Ocean City.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Terry Ann Abrahamsen and husband Frank of Westminster, MD, and Stephanie Lynn Haines of Hanover, PA, grandchildren: Jennifer, Melissa, Carrie, Brian, Laura, and Zachary, and great-grandchildren: Lily, Gavin, Vincent, and Sarah, and a sister: Joan Haines of Curtis Bay, MD.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, funeral services and interment are private.
