Edward Douglas (Deter) Stierhoff age 81 of Reisterstown, MD. died Friday May 17, 2013 at the V.A. Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.
Born May 5, 1932 in Pikesville, MD. he was the son of the late Oscar Free and Mary Rose Eckman Stierhoff.
He was the husband of 61 years to Shirley Lee Vaughn Stierhoff.
He was a retired Dental Technician. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Owings Mills VFW, and the Deer Park United Methodist Church in Reisterstown, MD. He enjoyed fishing and boating at his home in Ocean City, and liked to work in his garden.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Diane L. Morris of Finksburg, MD., Deborah L. Hitt of Baltimore, MD. and E. Douglas Stierhoff, Jr. and wife Marci of Reisterstown, MD., Siblings: Mary Emma Esworthy of Owings Mills, MD., Harry and Charles Stierhoff both of Owings Mills, MD. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers: Howard and Oscar Stierhoff.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, MD. 21117 with a funeral service being held at 4:00pm.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Deer Park United Methodist Church, 6107 Deer Park Rd., Reisterstown, MD. 21136.
