Edward Paul "Mac" McCauley, 89, of Reisterstown died Monday, February 23, 2009 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born in Clarksburg, WV on January 30, 1920, he was the son of the late Michael and Lillian Cain McCauley. He was the husband of the late Mary Carolyn Parlaman McCauley, his wife of 23 years, who died in 1970.
Mr. McCauley was a Master Plumber with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 486.
He was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII from 1941 to 1945, where he participated in the European Theater with the 17th Air Bourne.
He was an active member of Deer Park United Methodist Church in Reisterstown and was a life member of the VFW Post 521.
He was a former coach for the Reisterstown Recreation Council. He loved all sports, especially the Orioles, Raven, and the former Baltimore Colts.
In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, crabbing, and gardening.
Surviving are his children Gary S. McCauley of Parkville, Sheryl R. Bell of Union Bridge, Kim Trumpower of Manchester, and Cindy A. McCauley of Taneytown; his grandchildren Jason, Matthew, and Summer Lovell, Jenna Love and her husband Timothy Love, 2nd LT USMC, and Dan Trumpower; his 3 great grandchildren, and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Deer Park United Methodist Church, 6107 Deer Park Road, Reisterstown with Rev. David Gass officiating.
Interment will be in Deer Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.
