Edward George William Hook, 65 of Reisterstown, MD passed peacefully of cancer, Thursday, August 18, 2016 at his home. Born March 22, 1951 in Baltimore he was the son of the late Edward Hook of Baltimore and the late Grace M. Duncan Johnson of West Virginia.
He is survived by his beloved wife Charlene. Mr. Hook is also survived by his children Damien Hook of PA, Britny White and son-in-law Ridgely White of MD, Earl Cofiell at home, Jackie Kelley and her husband, Joe of MD, his siblings Jim Meadows and wife Sandy of FL, Karen Kinnaird and husband, John of Maryland, many nieces and nephews, and 9 grandchildren, Alysia, Austin, Elisa, Luke, Dylan, Victoria, Isabelle, Parker and Drayden.
Ed was predeceased by his son, Darius C. Hook, and his siblings, Donna G. Haines of West Virginia and David T Kennedy of Florida.
He was a carpenter his whole life starting as a superintendent building homes in three states at the early age of 19. He also worked on many high-rise buildings in Baltimore and also worked on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
In his later years he enjoyed learning to play the guitar, gardening, working around his home and especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Rd., Owings Mills, MD on Monday, August 22 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm and at the Deer Park United Methodist Church, 6107 Deer Park Rd., on Tuesday, August 23 from 10 Ap. Until the time of service at 11 am.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
