Edward William Welsh Sr.

Edward William Welsh Sr., of Upperco, MD. Born Jan. 5, 1944 in Baltimore, passed peacefully Saturday April 29, 2017 at the Seasons Hospice at Sinai in Baltimore, MD.

Edward was the husband of late Constance L. Schaper Welsh who died March 27, 2007.

Surviving are his children; Beverly Robertson and husband John of Hanover, PA., Malissa Barnes and companion Mike Boughan of Hanover, PA., and Edward W. Welsh, Jr. and wife Linda of Glenville, PA.,

Grandchildren; Jenny Elyer and husband Kenny, Christopher Colbert, Rochelle Arnold and husband Alex, Joseph Burley, Nicki Myers and husband Travis, Michelle Gailey and husband Josh, Russell Barnes and wife Liz, Debbie Young and husband Mike, Logan and Nathan Welsh. He was also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

Mr. Welsh was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and previously worked in maintenance and construction.

The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD. on Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
