Elaine P. Frederick, 84, of Reisterstown died Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Lorien Nursing Center in Taneytown.
Born May 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Harry Clay Purcell and Mary Marquardt Purcell. She was the wife of Jacob A. Frederick, who died in 1998.
She was active in both Reisterstown United Methodist Church and Sams Creek Church of the Brethren. She worked as a bus attendant for Baltimore County Public Schools Office of Transportation for 22 years.
She loved spending time with her friends and family, dancing, playing games, and big band music. She made life fun.
Surviving is a daughter Debi Frederick of Westminster; her grandchildren Dorinda Smith and husband Mike of Georgia and Matthew Knights and wife Stephanie of West Virginia; her great grandchildren Tyler Plank, Samantha Smith, and Gavin Knights; and her sister Carol Grice of Baltimore.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
