Eleanor Gertrude Gyr, 90, of Glen Arm, MD, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Glen Meadows Retirement Community in Glen Arm, MD. Born on July 22, 1935, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Gustave L. Gyr and Margaret E. Briest Gyr.
Years ago, Eleanor worked in accounting for the state of Maryland.
Surviving her is her niece: Jennifer Foster and her husband Tom, grandnieces: Sophie and Samantha Foster, and sister-in-law: Carolyn Gyr.
She was predeceased by her brother: William Ernest Gyr.
Funeral services and interment are private.
Arrangements are by the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., Owings Mills, MD.
