Elizabeth J. "Betty" Green, 79, of Pikesville, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at Northwest Hospital Center from natural causes.
Born Dec. 22, 1929, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wilbert and Gladys Stansbury Sullivan. She was the wife of Sterling C. Green, her husband of more than 60 years.
She was a housewife and active at Ames-Sudbrook United Methodist Church for many years, serving as Sunday school teacher and treasurer.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter Cindy Green, of Stafford, Va.; sons Ronald Green, of Reisterstown and Bryan Green, of Finksburg; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, with the Rev. Carroll Brown officiating. Interment will be in Druid Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
