Elizabeth Mary Shaffer age 96 of Westminster, MD. died Wednesday Oct. 2, 2013 at the Longview Nursing Home in Manchester, MD.
Born Nov. 24, 1916 in Presque Isle, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Dominic Peter and Rosa Marie Scichetano. She was the wife of the late Leonard A. Shaffer, Sr. who died Dec. 30, 1996.
Elizabeth retired from accounting and booking when she was 80, moved in with her daughter, Vivian Shriver to travel and enjoyed her remaining years.
She is survived by her children: Arthur Shaffer of Edgewood, Anita Powers of Delaware, Robert Shaffer of Oklahoma, Leonard Shaffer of Michigan and Vivian Shriver of Westminster: nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sisters: Theresa Germani and Rosemarie Scichetano.
Service and interment was in Garden of Faith Memorial Gardens on Oct. 3, 2013.
