Elizabeth "Libby" Wanda Demaria

Elizabeth "Libby" Wanda DeMaria, 71 of Hampstead, MD. passed peacefully, surrounded by her family, Sunday May 14, 2017 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born Sept. 17, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Agnes Rogers Gorecki. She was the wife of 53 years to Victor Anthony DeMaria.

Libby was a cosmetologist and had worked and managed many hair salons in the Baltimore area. She was a longtime member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Manchester. She enjoyed traveling, boating and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters; Victoria Elizabeth Koontz of Westminster, MD., Gina Marie DeMaria of Manchester, MD. and Christina Annette Malvone and husband Armando of Hanover, PA., grandchildren; Angelina C. Brumgard, Paul C. Koontz Jr., Angelo A. Malvone, Marcello E. Malvone, Gianni DeMaria and the late Anthony DeMaria-Jones. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother; Leo W. Gorecki.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 18, 2017 at St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD. at 11:00am. Interment will be in Miller's Church Cemetery.
