Elizabeth Arlene Yingling

Elizabeth Arlene Yingling, 69, of Manchester, MD, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Born May 15, 1947 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of Marion Elizabeth Frock (Fritz) of New Oxford, PA, and the late Lawrence Schaffer. She was the wife of John Thomas Yingling, her husband of 48 years.

Arlene was a retired clerical secretary for the State of Maryland. She was a member of St. Mark's Church in Snydersburg, MD. She enjoyed trips to Ocean City and Myrtle Beach and loved being with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her son: Andrew Yingling and wife Dawn of Hampstead, MD, grandchildren: Heidi, Austin, and Dalton Yingling, siblings: Lawrence Schaffer of Westminster, MD, Kenneth Schaffer of Hampstead, MD, Rebecca Allison of Oregon, and Louise Carr of New Windsor, MD.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 10 am at the funeral chapel, officiated by Rev. Dr. Chris Brammer. Interment to follow in John Luther Miller Memorial Cemetery, Westminster, MD.
