Ella May Mary Sauers, 78, of Hampstead died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.
Born January 6, 1936 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Ritter and Stella Ford Ritter. She was the wife of Arthur Louis "Otts" Sauers, her husband of 58 years.
She was a member of Greenmount United Methodist Church and a home maker. Years ago, she had worked at the Baltimore County Court House, Towson in the licensing department, drove a school bus for Carroll County, and was in charge of the Domestics Department for Nichols Department Store in Hanover, PA. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, coaching softball, volunteering as 4H leader, and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children Kent Sauers and wife Dana, Kathy Spence, Karen Shuff and husband Daniel, and Kurt Sauers and wife Kimberly; her nine grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Dr. Melissa Rudolph officiating.
Interment will be in Greenmount United Methodist Church Cemetery, Greenmount.
