Ellen Elizabeth Becker, 91, of Manchester died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Golden Living Nursing Center in Westminster.
Born December 29, 1922 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Julius Bachmann and Ruth Rollins Bachmann. She was the wife of the Wilbert Arold Becker, who died on September 15, 2000.
She was member of Millers United Methodist Church in Millers. She was a home maker and years ago had worked as an Assistant Manager for Hutzler's Department Store.
Surviving are her children Steven A. Becker and wife Patricia and Martha E. "Marty" Freeland and husband Paul; her grandchildren Steven Freeland, David Freeland and wife Geraldine, Rachel Malpica and husband Domingo, Karen Becker, and S. Andrew Becker and wife Elizabeth Haarer; and her 16 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister Ruth J. Chaplain.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with the Rev. Jeff Odom Officiating.
Interment will follow in Lorraine Park Cemetery, Woodlawn.
A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel in Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
