Elsie Mae Miller, 97, of Walkersville formerly of Dallastown, PA and Millers died on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Glade Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Walkersville.

Born on November 2, 1912 in Millers, she was the daughter of the late George Merryman and Flora Fowble Merryman. She was the wife of the late Clark H. Miller, her husband of 44 years, who died in 1977.

She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Seitz Nursing Home in Dallastown, PA and was a member of the former Bethany United Church of Christ in York, PA.

Surviving is her daughter and son in law Helen M. and George Rhodes of Dallastown; her grandchildren Cindy Leiphart and her husband Michael of Hallam, PA, Joy Morris and her husband Jeffrey of Finksburg, Brian Rhodes and his wife Paula of Geismar, LA, and Jennifer Rhodes Stump and her husband Bart of York, PA; her 8 great grandchildren; her 4 great great grandchildren; her 4 step great great grandchildren; and is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Lois Delaplane formerly of Frederick; her sisters Emma Shaeffer, Anna Wagner, and Mary Lewandowski; and her brothers Harrison Merryman and Walter Merryman.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with Rev. Robert Lehman officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Interment will be in Greenmount Church Cemetery in Greenmount.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Glade Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 56 West Frederick Street, Walkersville, MD 21793.
