Emma Marie Dell

Emma Marie Dell, 84, of York, PA, went home to be with Jesus on December 23, 2021, at York Hospital in York, PA. Born on June 20, 1937, in Cecil County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Estil and Grace Marie Townsley Phipps. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late John. F "Jack" Dell, who passed in 2014.

Years ago, Emma worked for Master Power as a secretary. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Hanover, PA. Her family and her church were the most important things. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and canning. She loved helping her family and friends whenever she could. She had a servant's heart.

Surviving her are children: Debbie Dell, Brenda Landis and husband Brian, Cathy Dell-Day and husband Terry, grandchildren: Nathan, Leslie, Ashley, Sophia, Brittany, Calah, and Joshua, great-grandchildren: Madison, Jordan, Jack, Audriana, Elijah, Eden, Malachi, Ezra, Leal, Thatcher, Lea, Grayson, and sisters: Naomi Wiederrecht and Ruth Haring.

She was predeceased by her son: John Francis Dell, II.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 29, from 9 – 11 am at the Victory Baptist Church, 25 Breezewood Drive, Hanover PA 17331, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am, with Pastor Jason Myers officiating. Per family request, regardless of vaccination status, masks are required.

Interment to follow in Manchester Baptist Church Cemetery.
