Emmalyn Elizabeth Schmitt, 11, of Manchester, MD, passed away after battling Stage III Spindle Cell Rhabdomyosarcoma for two years at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore City, MD.  Born on August 30, 2013, in Baltimore, MD, she was the beloved daughter of Charles Schmitt and Annemarie Abate Schmitt.

Surviving her in addition to her parents are her siblings: Aliviana (13) and Giovanni Schmitt (6), and grandmothers: Elizabeth Abate and Bonnie Slominski.

Emmalyn was a 5th grade student at Manchester Elementary School.

A celebration of life service and reception will be held at Grace Bible Church, 3250 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, on March 23rd at 1:30pm. We are asking everyone to please arrive as early as 12:00, as there is limited parking. If you are donating a baked good to share, please go around the left side of the building to the lower level gymnasium and enter through there to drop off the dessert before heading up to the sanctuary.

If you are unable to attend the event, it will be live streamed here starting at 1:30: https://gbcnc.com/live-stream/ .  If you go to the live stream earlier, it will be that morning's sermon, so check back later on.

In lieu of flowers or financial donations to the family they ask that you consider donating to one of these two foundations in memory of Emmalyn.
