Erma Agnes Baer Witherow, age 85, of Hanover, PA formerly of Lineboro passed away peacefully, Monday December 15, 2014 at the Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA.
Born September 15, 1929 in Stoverstown, PA, she was the daughter of late Earney Baer and Nora Aldinger Baer. She was the wife of Cheston Wenschhof Witherow, her husband of 60 years, who passed away May 15, 2012.
Mrs. Witherow was a homemaker and member of Lazarus United Church of Christ in Lineboro. She enjoyed sewing and particularly making curtains and had worked as a seamstress. In her spare time, she played cards especially 500 and pinochle.
She is survived by her son Stewart E. Witherow and wife Patricia of Glen Rock, PA; 5 step grandchildren; and 7 step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Clarence, Elvin, and Clair Baer, and her sister Edna Beaver.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral will be held at 7 p.m. with her pastor the Rev. Sam Chamelin
officiating.
Interment will be 11 a.m. Friday in Wolfs Cemetery, Spring Grove, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lazarus Church, Rebuilding Fund, 5101 South Church Street, Lineboro, MD 21102.
