Ernest W. Bennett age 81 of Manchester, MD. died Sunday Oct. 7, 2012 at his home.
Born April 24,1931 in Gillesville, Georgia he was the son of the late Gilford and Arvie Greenway Bennett.
He was the husband of 56 years to Dolores Bell Reese Bennett.
He was retired from Union Special Corp. where he worked in sales and mechanical work. He was a former Mason. He also was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 168. He enjoyed working around his home.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters: Cynthia Ellen Myatt and husband Clayton K. Jr. of Manchester, MD. and Carolyn Bennett Fogle and husband Robert R. of Thurmont, MD. grandchildren: Clayton K. Myatt III and Alexander Bennett Myatt.
He was predeceased by a son Wayne Roger Bennett and 10 siblings.
A graveside service will be held in Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, PA. on Thursday at 11:30am.
The family will receive friends at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Wednesday from 3-5and 7-9pm.
