Ernest David Parker

Ernest David Parker, 90, of Manchester, MD, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Long View in Manchester, MD. Born on April 1, 1936, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late William Parker and Helen Smith Parker. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Hughes Parker, who passed away in 2010.

Ernest was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a former member of VFW Post 521 and the American Legion Liberty Post 122, both of Owings Mills, and the Reisterstown Moose Lodge 1577. Years ago, he worked in air conditioning maintenance for apartment complexes.

Surviving him are children: Terri Jenness and her late husband Bob of Hanover, PA, Jeff Parker and wife Mare of Thomasville, PA, Sherri Otto and husband Joe of Manchester, MD, grandchildren: Melissa and husband Larry, Heather, Robby and wife Kristi, Joey, Kirstin and husband Danny, Sarah and husband Brandon, Kyle and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law: Kitty Parker of Finksburg, MD, Renata Parker of Fort Bragg, NC, Shirley Porter of Kentucky, Shirley Hughes of Florville, MD and brothers in law: Norman Hughes and wife Jeanette of Westminster, MD and Carol Hughes of Texas.

Ernest was predeceased by his siblings: Bill Parker, Donald Parker, Ruth Bossell, and Louise Joyner.

A private graveside will be held in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.
