Estale Nadine Harris Daniel

Estale Nadine Harris Daniel, 88, of Finksburg, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born April 4, 1934, in Reisterstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Sarah Goldie Leppo Harris. She was the wife of Richard L. Daniel, her husband of 55 years, who died in 2011.

A graduate of Franklin High School, she obtained her bachelor's degree at the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and her Master of Arts degree from the University of Maryland.

She was the organist and choir director for more than 40 years at All Saints Episcopal Church in Reisterstown. She had also been an organist at Sacred Heart Parish in Glyndon and St. John's Church in Reisterstown, as well as playing for church services at the Rosewood Center in Owings Mills. In addition, she had been a music teacher in Baltimore County, Fairhaven in Sykesville, and the Friends School of Baltimore. She was the original accompanist for the Choral Arts Society of Carroll County. She taught private piano, organ, and marimba lessons over the course of nearly 60 years.

Surviving are son Gregory Daniel of Westminster and son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Claudia Daniel of Sykesville; grandchildren Matthew and Nicole Daniel; sister Jean Imm; nephews Gary Imm (Lisa) and Donald Imm (Tracy); nieces Wanda Phillips and Faye Thompson (Tom); and a grandnephew and several grandnieces.

She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Townsend, and a nephew, Mark Imm.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, with Pastor Kevin Syes officiating. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Reisterstown, MD.
