Estelle B. Fleming age 88 of Hanover, PA. formally of Manchester, MD. died Friday Feb. 14, 2014 at the Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace in Hanover, PA.
Born Nov. 20, 1925 in North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Grover and Bessie Hill Buchanan Bennett.
She was the wife of 61 years to Luther R. Fleming.
She was a housewife and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester, MD. Years ago she was involved in her sons activities including PTA and Cub Scouts. She enjoyed working on the family farm and family activities. She also was a caregiver to her elderly neighbors.
Surviving in addition to her husband are sons: Ronald Fleming and wife Brenda of Manchester, MD., Robert Fleming and wife Michele of Upperco, MD. and Russell Fleming and wife Martha of Hampstead, MD. sister: Anna Campbell of Tennessee. Grandchildren: Joyce Cook, Lori Muller both of Manchester, MD. and Jaime Hanson of Littlestown, PA. Great grandchildren: Michelle, Daniel and Christopher Cook and Samantha and Kody Muller and a nephew Thomas Buchanan of Georgia.
She was predeceased by siblings: Harvey Buchanan, Ruth Laughter and Ruby Harris.
Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Wednesday at 10:00am with the Revs. Matthew and Norma Schenning officiating.
Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the funeral chapel.
