Ethel Mae Hunt

Ethel Mae Hunt, 92, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.  Born on June 14, 1928 in Snydersburg, MD, she was the daughter to the late Irvin Leroy and Mary Benedict Ruby.  She was the beloved wife to the late Earl Stephen Hunt, who passed away in 2014.

Years ago, Ethel worked for English American Tailoring as a seamstress.  She was a loyal member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Manchester, MD.  She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and spending time with her family and friends.  Ethel will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by nieces and nephews: Belinda Bauerlein, Mike Ruby, Gary Ruby, Cindy Tobal, Amy Reilly, Kim Coale, several great nieces and great nephews, and siblings: Claude Ruby, Walter Ruby and wife Dolly, and Edna Zepp, all of Hampstead, MD.

Ethel was predeceased by siblings: Margaret Grose and Earl Ruby.

Family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will then be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 12pm.  Interment to follow in Leisters Church Cemetery, Westminster, MD.
