Ethel Anna Martz, 91, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Born on October 25, 1930 in Baltimore City, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John Arthur Wilson and Edna Ruth Dey Wilson. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Maynard William Martz, Sr., who passed away in 2009.
For many years, Ethel worked as a school bus driver for Baltimore County. She was active at the North Carroll Senior Center.
Surviving her are children: Yvonne Gardner and Dave of Hampstead, Cindy Martz of Elkridge, Patricia Cuffley and Greg Keller of Manchester, Maynard W. Martz, Jr. of Little Orleans, Tina Cox and Jeff of South Boston, VA, grandchildren: Melissa Henninger, Steve Henninger, Woody Cuffley, Jessica Martz, Courtney Martz, Michael Hechmer, Christopher Hechmer, great-grandchildren: C.J. Harris, Ryan Harris, Alex Henninger, Noah McGregor, Samantha Cuffley, Savanah Baker, Juliann Cuffley, Cooper Hawkins, and Tyler and Jacob Cuffley, and great-great grandchildren: Jace Harris and C.J. Harris IV. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her great-grandson: Cody Cuffley, and siblings: John A. Wilson, Jr., Helen E. Michel, and Donald P. Wilson.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 27, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service be held on Thursday, April 28 at 10 am.
Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Alesia Free Methodist Church, 4250 Alesia-Lineboro Road, Manchester, Maryland 21102.
