Eugene Morris Shanklin

Eugene Morris Shanklin, 89, of Spring Hill, FL, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at his home.  Born on October 2, 1934, in Baltimore, MD.  He was the beloved husband of Annette Shanklin, who passed away in 2000.

Eugene Shanklin was a proud United States Marine of 4 years, when he turned 38 he began working for the Railroad, studied hard and became a Train Engineer. Driving Freight Trains for Penn Central Railroad, Conrail and Norfolk Southern Railway. Eugene Shanklin was a family man of Love, Honor and Respect. He was loved by all.

Surviving Eugene is a daughter: Victoria Shanklin and son Jeffrey Shanklin. He is also survived by loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Eugene was predeceased by sons: Bryan Shanklin and Timothy Shanklin.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 3, from 1-3 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where the funeral service will begin at 3 pm.

Interment will be held on Wednesday, December 6, at 10 am, at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.
