Evelyn Margaret Boone age 102 of Manchester, MD. died Friday May 25, 2012 at the Longview Nursing Home in Manchester, MD.
Born Dec. 23, 1909 in Baltimore, MD., she was the daughter of the late Alfred Frederick and Augusta Biddison Hinke. She was the wife of the late Arthur Philip Boone, Sr. who died in 1973.
She was homemaker. She was a former member of the Hampstead Senior Citizens and St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Hampstead, MD. where she had taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Years ago she was also a volunteer at Carroll Hospital Center and the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by her children: Evelyn Carol Hose and husband Howard of Manchester, MD., Arthur (Bud) Philip Boone, Jr. and wife Dottie of Manchester, MD. and Stella May Corbett and husband Tim of Hollywood, South Carolina. Grandchildren: Steve Alder, Philip Boone III, Deena Ford, Dawn Strine, Ashley Freeman, Dawn C. Kennedy and Tommy Corbett. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by siblings: Edward Hopwood, Edith Groves and Mildred Ruth Adams.
Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Wednesday at 10:00am. with the Rev. Jacob Young officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the funeral chapel.
