F. Evans Bildstein age 78 of Westminster, MD. formally of Glyndon, died Friday Feb. 18, 2011 at the Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD.
Born Dec. 18, 1932 in Easton, MD. he was the son of the late Francis Vincent and Dorothea Frampton Bildstein.
He was the husband of 52 years to Joan Katherine Eppler Bildstein.
He was a retired general superintendent for Explosives Engineers. He was a member of the International Society of Explosives Engineers and was past president of Potomac Chapter. He was a member of the Hampstead Lions Club. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Joseph E. Bildstein and wife Pha of Florida, John F. Bildstein and wife Christina of Hampstead, MD. and Joanne K. Maiorano and husband Paul of Middletown, Delaware. Sisters: Dorothea Dodge of Parkville, MD., Shirley Fair of Lancaster, PA. and Nancy L. Fagg of Glen Burnie, MD. and grandchildren: Katherine, Alexis, Andrew and Rebecca.
He was predeceased by siblings: Jean Koziol, Charles and John Robert Bildstein.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, Md. on Tuesday at 10:00am.
Interment will be in Moreland Mem. Park Cem. Parkville, MD.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9pm at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, MD.
