Faye Ann Niner, 70, of Hampstead, Maryland, passed peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, surrounded by family at the Dove House in Westminster, Maryland.
Born January 6, 1953, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Clayton "CW" Poff and Dolly Jean Leppo Poff who she was predeceased by. She was also predeceased by her husband, Robert Lee Niner, of 37 years of marriage.
Faye grew up working on her family's farm in Hampstead, Maryland. She was a graduate of North Carroll High School – Class of 1971. Faye was also a graduate from the University of Maryland School of Nursing – Class of 1975 (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). After graduation she worked at Carroll County General Hospital (now known as Carroll Hospital Center) and worked the night shift as a registered nurse in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) for nearly 30 years. She loved working with and caring for her patients, especially when she could help save lives.
Most notably she was an amazing wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother. Family was very important to her especially raising four (4) boys. She always enjoyed getting together during holidays and eating crabs with her family and friends. She always loved the summers traveling to Ocean City, Maryland especially spending time with her husband and children. Faye loved going to Baltimore Orioles and minor league baseball games, not only just to root on the home team, but to collect bobbleheads of her favorite players.
Faye is survived by her boys: William Clayton Niner (Hampstead, Maryland), Robert James Niner and daughter-in-law Annelise Niner (Hunterstown, Pennsylvania), Benjamin Joshua Niner and daughter-in-law Emily Niner (Spring Grove, Pennsylvania), and Buddy Lee Niner and daughter-in-law Tara Niner (Shippensburg, Pennsylvania). She is also survived by her brother Ronald Clay Poff and his wife Carolyn Poff along with her sister Lou Anne Poff all of Hampstead, Maryland. She is also survived by eight (8) grandchildren: Emily, Maddison, R.J., Kolton, Kamdyn, Jase, Paityn, and Brooke.
Family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, Maryland 21102 on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 10 AM to 12 PM. Funeral services will begin at 12 PM.
