Florence M. Coyne

Florence M. Coyne, 96, of Parkville, MD, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Long View in Manchester, MD.  Born on October 7, 1927, in Romford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Virgil Holland and Hester Lancaster Holland.  She was the beloved wife of 67 years to Francis "Frank" Richard Coyne.

Florence was known for her carefree and contagious laughter. Everyone who knew her had a story of her laughing with such abandon that it was impossible not to join in.  She was creative and talented, with a love of gardening, crocheting and ceramics. Florence was an avid player of cards and board games. and she spent countless hours playing video games with her grandchildren. She was also a passionate reader, and she loved chatting with anyone and everyone. Most of all she cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are children: David Coyne and wife Connie of Stewartstown, PA, Kathy Welling and husband Jeff of Upperco, MD, Steve Coyne and wife Julie of Finksburg, MD, daughter-in-law: Ann Collins of Hanover, PA, 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Florence was predeceased by her son: Edward Collins, grandson: Sean Collins, and siblings: Stanley, Lois, and Ted.

Funeral services and interment are private.
