Florentino Bancil Garcia, Jr. of Hanover, PA., known as "Chico" or "Sonny" by all, died suddenly on Saturday, November 9, 2013.
Born January 10, 1939 in Moncks Corner, S.C., he was the son of the late Florentino Bancil Garcia, Sr. and Jane Huff Garcia.
He was the husband of Patricia Ann Finch Garcia, his wife of 36 years.
He served honorably with the United States Marine Corps. He worked at Waverly Press for 30 years, and excelled at several careers before retiring. He loved sports, hunting, fishing and being with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter and her husband: Theresa D. Scarborough and Pastor Gary Scarborough, son: Mark C. Garcia, grandchildren: Lauren and Hannah Scarborough and Jennifer and Christopher Garcia, brother: Douglas M. Garcia, his wife Noreen and a sister: Joyce Jones.
He was predeceased by his sister Dolores Haskell.
Friends may call on Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM.
Interment in Lake View Memorial Park.
