Rev. Frederick J. Hanna, 86, of Fairhaven Retirement Community, Sykesville formally of Baltimore died Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Dove House in Westminster.
Born December 15, 1924 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James Rivers Hanna and Maria Dietz Hanna.
He was a retired Episcopal Priest. During his tenure he served The Church of the Redemption, Locust Point, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Baltimore, and All Saints Episcopal Church, Reisterstown.
He was involved with many community outreach programs.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by all his siblings Elizabeth H. MacDonald, Stewart H. Hanna, Frieda A. Schmitt, John T. Hanna, and Ruth Eline.
A memorial service to be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 811 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
A private graveside was held at All Saints Cemetery in Reisterstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Hannah More School Foundation, 12039 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136, please note on the memo line attention Rev. Frederick J. Hanna Scholarship Fund.
