George Grayson Cowman, Jr.

George Grayson Cowman, Jr. passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, at BridgingLife (Dove House) in Westminster, MD at the age of 93. George was the husband of Laura D. George-Cowman, with whom he spent 16 years of marriage. He is predeceased by his first wife of 56 years, Ann C. Cowman.

While George lived a life of hard work, operating his own paving, grading, and excavating business, George G. Cowman, Jr., Inc. for 65+ years, he played harder. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, snowmobiling at his home in Canada, taking casino trips with his buddies, and so much more. George loved and lived life to the fullest. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t try, given the chance! He enjoyed Sunday afternoons spent with Keith, Tammy and their family, enjoying steamed crabs, delicious dinners, and NASCAR. There would always be a candy dish where he would happily help himself.

George was an avid lover of vintage country music and could often be found playing his guitar and singing. He loved lottery scratch offs, and would be so excited if he won. He also loved vintage cars, and throughout the years, owned many.

George was a life member of the Buc’s Pleasure Club, member of the Reisterstown Lions Club, and the Elk’s Club.

George was the proud father of Marcia M. Marzullo, George G. Cowman, III (Elizabeth), and Keith R. Cowman (Tammy). Stepfather of Tristan George.

Cherished grandfather of Heather and Britany Marzullo, Benjamin Cowman (Ryan), Jessica Green, Tyler Cowman (Jennifer), and Cody Cowman (Morgan).

Treasured great-grandfather of Grason and Gianna Marzullo, Gabriella, Autumn, and Xavier Green, Vincent Marzullo, Maximus and Angelo Sabatino, Madison and Levi Cowman, Christopher, Harper and soon-to-be Brooks Cowman.

Predeceased by son-in-law Charles Marzullo and siblings Mary Ellen Craig, Janet Nickoles, Edward Cowman, Kenneth Cowman, and Linda Gittere.

Funeral services are private.
