George "Bob" "ReBob" Robert Petenbrink, Jr., 84, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at his residence. Born on December 22, 1936, in Frostburg, MD, he was the son to the late George Robert, Sr., and Anna Richardson Petenbrink. He was the beloved husband of Linda Lee Simmons Petenbrink, together since October 1979 and married since 2005.
Bob was a hard worker and took pride in what he accomplished. He owned and operated P&S Compressor with his sons. He was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church and the Band of Brothers at St. Johns Methodist Church of Hampstead, MD. Bob belonged and held many positions with the Maryland Goldwings Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed traveling on his bike and has been to 49 states, 23 different countries, and all but the Northwest Territories in Canada.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Bobby Petenbrink and wife Judy of Gettysburg, PA, Billy Petenbrink and wife Kelly of Hanover, PA, Todd Petenbrink and wife Amy of Westminster, MD, Donald Petenbrink and wife Debbie of Hampstead, MD, Susan Kern of Westminster, MD, siblings: Ronnie Petenbrink and wife Norma of North Carolina, Paul Petenbrink and wife Wilma of Delaware, Jimmy Petenbrink and wife Eva of South Carolina, Billy Petenbrink and wife Shelby, of Florida, Shirley Shannon of Pennsylvania, Sandra Miller of Pennsylvania, Emma Thompson and significant other Mark of Maryland, stepdaughters: Tina Eichler and husband Don of Bristol, TN, Tammy Fox and husband Randy of Hampstead, MD, and Tanya J. Hughes of Hanover, PA. Bob is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, and former wife: Nancy Webb of Westminster, MD.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 9 am – 12 pm at Manchester Baptist Church, 2933 Manchester Baptist Church Rd, Manchester, MD 21102. A funeral service with Reverend Dr. Dave Scafide will follow at 12 pm. Interment will take place in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery, Hampstead, MD. Due to the ongoing pandemic, social distancing and mask are required.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's name may be offered to the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company or Manchester Volunteer Fire Company.
