George Andrew Riley, Jr.

George Andrew Riley, Jr., 89, of Hanover, PA, passed away on August 3, 2025, at SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Utz Terrace, surrounded by his family.  Born on January 18, 1936, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late George Andrew Riley, Sr. and Mary Virginia Grafton Riley.  He was the beloved husband of Gail Sears Riley.

George was a veteran of the United States National Guard.  He worked in the paint department at Black and Decker for 22 years.  He was a former member of the Lineboro/Manchester Lions Club. He enjoyed traveling the United States with his wife, Gail, attending Lions conventions, listening to bluegrass music, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Stacey Riley and life partner Eldon of North Carolina, Dru Riley and wife Amber of Hanover, PA, grandchildren: Quinn Riley and husband Alex, Samuel, and Morgan.  He is also survived by his siblings: Edgar Riley of Shrewsbury, PA, and Ann Riley of Belair, MD.

George was predeceased by his sister: Dorothy Rosenberger.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 13, from 10 - 11:30 am, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a memorial service will begin at 11:30 am.

Interment is private.
