George Tipton, 81 years old of Manchester, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born July 18, 1934 in Raleigh, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Little Tipton and Vista Garland Tipton. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte Ruth Tipton (nee Bookhulz) his wife of 55 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Ricky Tipton, George Tipton and wife Donna, Patti Morfoot and John Sayers, Leanne Miller, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his sister Maude Miller. He was predeceased by his daughter Teresa Tipton, grandson Justin Tipton, brother Fred Tipton and his sister Mae Donnelly.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 3296 Charmil Dr. Manchester, MD 21102 where services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM Interment in Lineboro Cemetery.
