Geraldine Rita Haines

Geraldine Rita Haines, 89 of Hanover, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Gettysburg Center in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Born on February 10, 1936, in Baltimore, MD.  She was the daughter of the late Walter and Rita Pagano Spindler.  She was the wife of the late Edward Benton "Pye" Haines who passed away in 2021.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are her daughters: Terry Ann Abrahamsen and husband Frank of Westminster, MD, and Stephanie Lynn Haines of Hanover, PA, grandchildren: Jennifer, Melissa, Carrie, Brian, Laura, and Zachary, and great grandchildren: Lily, Gavin, Vincent, and Sarah.

Geraldine was predeceased by her brother Walter Frank Spindler.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD where a prayers service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
