Gerard Edward Hoppa

Gerard Edward Hoppa, 67, of Hanover, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at his home. Born on June 3, 1957, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Bernard and Mary Patricia Mallon Hoppa. He was the beloved husband of Lee Ann Blake Hoppa.

Gerard owned and operated his own home improvement business. He loved family and his grandkids, driving, and collecting old convertibles.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Shannon Fuentes and husband Raul of Thurmont, MD, Teresa Gieron and husband Josh of Gettysburg, PA, and Eric Hoppa and wife Esther of Glen Rock, PA, grandchildren: Gio, Vanessa, Sandro, Emma, Everly, and Zeke, and siblings: Marianne Warehime of Manchester, MD, Gloria Kiima of Reisterstown, MD, Bernadette Campitelli of Reisterstown, MD, and Charlie Hoppa and wife Maureen of Reisterstown, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister: Kathleen Hoppa.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD 21102.

Interment is private.
