Gertrude V. "Gram" Dunnigan, 97, of Manchester died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.

Born Jan. 29, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Emma Reeder Hobbs. She was the wife of Alfred Douglas Dunnigan, who died in 1997.

She was a textile worker. She enjoyed watching television, sitting on her patio and spending time with her family and friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Betty and Robert Welcher of Manchester; a granddaughter, Sandy Welcher of Taylorsville; and a half-sister, Doris Ripple of Howard County.

She was predeceased by sisters May Hobbs and Jessie Leape; and a brother, Kenneth Hobbs.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lazarus Church Cemetery, 5101 S. Church St., Lineboro, with interment to follow.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. today and Tuesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
