Gilberto Cobian, 91, of Fallston died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Mary's.

Born November 25, 1919 in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Manuel Cobian and Rosa Garced Cobian.

He was a communicant of the St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in Fallston and was retired from the United States Army as Sergeant First Class with 20 years of honorable service.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Manuel G. and Rita Cobian of Fallston; his grandchildren Victoria Shields, Michael, Andrew, and Benjamin Cobian; his sister Nilda Hernandez of Puerto Rico, and 7 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brothers Ernesto and Angelo Cobain.

The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 2407 Laurel Brook Road, Fallston with the Rev. Fr. Ron Zoubek as celebrant.

Interment will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery in Owings Mills, please meet at the cemetery at 2:15 p.m.
