Gladys Otero Camacho

Gladys Otero Camacho, 59, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Sinai Hospital. Born on June 18, 1958 in New York, she was the daughter of Juana Camacho and the late Eliseo Otero. She was the wife of the late Hector Asbel Rivera who passed away in 2011.

Gladys was a wonderful lady who taught her grandchildren how to make crafts, and more importantly, what it means to care for each other. She had a strong will and was determined, but her heart was kind and she was always ready to provide a home cooked meal and a winning smile – "Even a hug when she was mad at you." Nobody is perfect, but Gladys came very close!

Surviving in addition to her mother are children: Yajaira Henry of Owings Mills, MD, Samuel Oquendo of Puerto Rico, Gladinel Otero of Middle River, MD, and 3 grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 8 and 9, at 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117.

Interment is private.
