Gloria Jean Flanagan, 74, passed away while holding the hand of her husband of 56 years, Terence Flanagan. Gloria Jean Flanagan was born May 7th, 1947 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Thelma May (Triplett) Rudasill. She enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports, feeding humming birds, bingo at the senior center, and talking about the days when she worked at Tevis oil.
Gloria, a woman of God, matriarch, wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, aunt, and friend was loved by many. You could find her at a family gathering with a warm hug, smile, and sipping on a Yuengling. Gloria had collected many knickknacks throughout her years, and you would always find yourself leaving with things you didn't need, but you would always leave feeling full of love.
Surviving are children Kelly Burgan and fiancé Otis, Beth Johnson and husband Charlie, Matt Flanagan and wife Beth; grandchildren Christy and fiancé Zomy, Ellie, Jack, Anna, Avery, Colin, Taylor and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gloria was predeceased by grandson, Patrick Burgan Jr, and sister Carol Cohen.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 4 from 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102.
A graveside service will be held at New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD on Saturday, March 5 at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Gloria's name, may be made to North Carroll Senior & Community Center, 2328 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD 21074.
