On Friday, March 27, 2009, GLORIA MAY WHARTON, nee Creamer, 91, of Gambrills formerly of Baltimore and Molokai, HI died at her residence.
Beloved wife of the late Henry Marvin Wharton, mother of Elizabeth Meyers, Weegie Hoffman, and Helen Goldsmith, grandmother of 8, great grandmother of 15, and great great grandmother of 3; predeceased by her son Henry Marvin Wharton, Jr.
Mrs. Wharton was a member of American Gold Star Mothers, an organization composed of American mothers who lost a child during war or otherwise while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Friends may call at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills on Monday from 6-8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Deer Park United Methodist Church, 6107 Deer Park Road, Reisterstown with Rev. David Gass officiating.
Interment in Deer Park United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
