Goldie Rae Boblits, 86, of Hampstead, formerly of Lutherville, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born Sept. 8, 1925, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late George L. and Edna Baublitz Wilhelm. She was the wife of John Dalton Boblits Sr., who died in 1994.

She was a former member of Carroll United Methodist Church and in her spare time she enjoyed bowling and bingo.

Surviving are sons John D. Boblits Jr., of Gettysburg, Pa., George E. "Gene" Boblits, of Reidsville, N.C., Charles T. Boblits, of Stewartstown, Pa., and David L. Boblits, of Westminster; siblings George Wilhelm, of Towson, Howard Wilhelm, of Westminster, Lou Staines, of Whitehall, and Virginia Foster, of Severn; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Wilhelm.

A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel in Manchester. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carrolls Cemetery, 11525 Greenspring Ave., Lutherville, with the Rev. Chris Brammer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.

Arrangements are by Eckhardt Funeral Chapel in Manchester.
