Hailey Alexis Miller, 23, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born on July 22, 2002, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Matthew Charles Miller and Brigitte Jenelle Hess Miller.
Hailey was an amazing, smart and fun-loving young lady who overcame many challenges in her life. She had a smile that was contagious and her determination was inspiring to many. Hailey always had a wonderful sense of humor and lived life to the fullest. Annual trips to Disney World with her family were some of her happiest moments, along with many other family getaways. Hailey also loved listening to music, reading books, animals, spending time outside on her swing and in the pool, and spending time with her friends, family and her dog, Vinny. She was an active member of Millers United Methodist Church. Despite Hailey's physical challenges, she was adventurous and loved riding ATVs with her family, going to the beach, concerts, and boating. She also enjoyed using her all-terrain chair giving her the freedom to explore off the beaten path. Her smile and joyful spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving her in addition to her parents are her siblings Gabrielle Miller and Brendon Miller, her maternal grandparents Lester and Beverley Hess and paternal grandparent Debora Miller, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 8, from 5-8 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9, at 11 am, at Millers United Methodist Church, 3435 Warehime Road, Manchester, MD 21102.
Interment to follow at St. Paul's Church, 5010 St Paul's Rd, Millers, MD 21102.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hailey's Wish – A Foundation for Inclusive Play, which was founded in Hailey's honor and will continue in her memory.
