Hazel Larue Leese, 87, of Manchester died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.

Born April 20, 1923 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late William Albert Fridinger and Mamie Ellen Therit Fridinger. She was the wife of the late Charles Abraham Leese, who died in 1961.

She worked at the Westminster Coat Company and then Black and Decker in Hampstead, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Manchester and regularly attended Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Westminster.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, working in her yard, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels and spending time with family and friends. Over the years she had been a caregiver to several family members.

Surviving is her daughter and son in law Darlene and Larry Rohrbaugh of Manchester; a granddaughter Dana Rohrbaugh of Owings Mills; her sisters and brother in law Mamie and Paul Koontz of Hampstead and Daisy Sisler of Westminster; a brother and sister in law Richard and Ethel Fridinger of Manchester; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by siblings Helen Hosfeld, Mary Rippeon, Selma Stem, Howard, Sterling, Raymond and Bert Fridinger.

The family will receive friends 3 to 7p.m. Monday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Stacy Marsh officiating.
Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery.
