Helen C. Bertsch, 72 years old of Reisterstown, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Future Care Cherrywood Nursing Home in Reisterstown.
Born May 6, 1937 in Reisterstown, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Meyers and Eunice Hawley Meyers.
She was the wife for 20 years of Herbert C. Bertsch.
She was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1955 and Baltimore City Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. She worked as an LPN at the former City Hospital for over 20 years and then went on to Private Nursing.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her stepchildren, Jeanne Gay Bertsch of California, Jay Bertsch, Sharon Aponte and Bridget Reynard all of Reisterstown, her grandchildren, Adam, George and Jay Bertsch, Jr., Suny and Stephen Aponte and Katie Reynard, 5 great grandchildren and her brother Edward Meyers and 2 sisters, Evelyn Hanson and Carolyn Pentzer all of Reisterstown.
She was predeceased by her stepson Stephen Bertsch, her brother Joseph "Bubby" Meyers and her sister Ruth Turner.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.

Interment in Lorraine Park Cemetery.
