Helen Louise Stonesifer, 85, of Hampstead, died Monday Sep. 5, 2011 at the Dove House in Westminster.
Born Jan 1, 1926 in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late George Henry and Mary Belle Yingling Diehl. She was the wife of the late Robert Johnson Stonesifer, who died in 1994.
She cleaned houses for various families and years ago she worked for the Hampstead and Westminster Canning Factories. She was member of the AARP.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law Catherine and James Abbott of Upperco; grandchildren James Robert Abbott, Jr., and Karen Robertson both of Upperco; great grandchildren Morgan, Tanner, Jessie and Kayla; and a brother Harry David Diehl of Fairfield, PA.
The family will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Michael Adams officiating.
Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
