Helen Viola Wisner, age 96, of New Oxford, PA, formerly of Manchester, MD, died, Monday, March 2, 2015 at The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford. Born April 12, 1918 in Baltimore County, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. Warehime and Hester L. Warehime Smith. She was the wife of Maurice Edward Wisner, her husband of 73 years, who died in 2011.

She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church since birth. Years ago, she worked at the Hampstead Sewing Factory and Black & Decker.
Surviving are her children, Edna LaRue Holloway and husband Rev. Donald L., and Norman Gene Wisner and wife Penny; and her granddaughter, Whitney Wisner, all of Hanover, PA. She was predeceased by her siblings Maude Kerr, Hilda Baker, Elva Hurt, William Smith, Frauline Marshall, Jessie Sterner, Romaine Wisner, and Betty Wisner.

The family will receive friends from 9:00am until 10:00am. Saturday March 7, 2015 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be in St. Peter's Church Cemetery, Hampstead.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brethren Home Foundation,2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350, please note the memo line Good Samaritan Fund or to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 4300 Church Rd., Hampstead, MD 21074.
