Helma Margaret Wolf Wolf, 72, of Hampstead died on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Dove House after an extended illness.
Born on May 2, 1936 in Osnabrueck, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Adolf Wolf and Luise Glitz Wolf. She was the wife of Gottfried Christoph Wolf, her husband of 49 years.
Mrs. Wolf arrived in the United States in January of 1968 with her husband and children and became a citizen in 1977. Most of her married life was happily spent as a homemaker, raising her daughter Christiane and her son Andreas, and later being heavily involved in raising two of her grandsons. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband and grandchildren to faraway places. She is a longtime parishioner of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church in Manchester.
Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter and son in law Christiane and Alan Volkman of Manchester, and son and daughter in law Andreas and Stacey Wolf of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren A. Thomas Riley and his wife Cindy of Hampstead, Karlton Riley of Manchester, Laura, Ian, Kaden, and Talen Wolf of Las Vegas, NV; her great granddaughter Michelle Angela Riley of Hampstead; also survived by a brother, a sister, and several nieces in Germany.
A requiem Mass will be celebrated 10:30 Wednesday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 3071 Park Avenue, Manchester with Rev. Michael Roach celebrating. Interment will be in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from at 7-9 p.m. at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
